Richmond Beach Community Park Plant Installation!November 17, 10am-12pm @ Richmond Beach Library Community Park Please join our small but mighty group of volunteers for the most exciting work party of the year -- planting day! Our planting event coincides with Green Shoreline Day, a volunteer day across the city that draws hundreds of participants for planting programs. Our work site is located at Richmond Beach Community Park (where the Richmond Beach Library is). We will be installing a variety of native understory plants at the previously cleared site, and possibly clearing additional invasive plants. We will give a tutorial on how to plant these plants, so no prior experience is necessary. All tools provided, but please bring your own gloves. This work is done on a level area, but we are working on the big staircase, so walking up and down stairs is involved. more |
