Richmond Beach Library Community Park - Richmond Beach Community Park …11/17/2024
Activities
Please join our small but mighty group of volunteers for the most exciting work party of the year -- planting day! Our planting event coincides with Green Shoreline Day, a volunteer day across the city that draws hundreds of participants for planting programs. Our work site is located at Richmond Beach Community Park (where the Richmond Beach Library is).
We will be installing a variety of native understory plants at the previously cleared site, and possibly clearing additional invasive plants. We will give a tutorial on how to plant these plants, so no prior experience is necessary.
All tools provided, but please bring your own gloves.
This work is done on a level area, but we are working on the big staircase, so walking up and down stairs is involved.
All ages OK
13 out of 20 participants registered.
What to Bring
Garden gloves.
Where to Meet
You can park on 23rd Ave NW, on the west side of the park, down the hill from the library. Take the wide staircase seen from Richmond Beach Road up to our work site.
