Echo Lake Loves Native PlantsDecember 02, 10am-12pm @ Echo Lake Park We are planting some trees in the Northwest Woods in Echo Lake Park. There are many very tall and mature Doug Fir and some cedars in this area. But we need the next generation to start growing. Come help us put some new little trees into their new forest! We'll also be spreading some mulch in the native plant area and adding some plant cages to keep the bunnies at bay. Hot drinks and snacks provided. Thank you to our volunteers. more |

Green Shoreline Day at Brugger's BogDecember 02, 10am-1pm @ Bruggers Bog Join the Brugger's Bog Park Native Plant Stewards and Shoreline Green Partnership as we continue to restore this important wetland habitat with native shrubs, trees and meadow. This City of Shoreline Park is located in the Lyons Creek Watershed which includes creeks that enter Lake Washington with this fresh water continuing to Puget Sound. You'll be helping to improve this shrub and forested area by removing undesirable blackberry and planting several conifer trees while making room for more new native plants we will plant this Winter. Birds and friendly neighbors and dog walkers use the park and enjoy the space just as much as you will! more |

Help Us Plant Native Trees!December 02, 9am-12pm @ Richmond Beach Saltwater Park We'll be planting some trees and preparing planting areas for next year's tree planting! It's all about building the soil in the park. We’ll also show you our unique, inexpensive, and water-saving irrigation system – and how you can set it up in your own gardens to save water and keep your plants healthy. We’ll also point out any eagles and osprey that fly by! more |

Planting Party at Hamlin Forest Restoration Site - Green Shoreline DayDecember 02, 10am-1pm @ Hamlin Park Join your neighbors and make new friends while expanding and protecting Hamlin Park’s beautiful urban forest. We are restoring the forest by removing invasive species, improving the health of the soil, and planting native trees, shrubs and ground cover. Forests mitigate climate change, absorb carbon from the atmosphere, reduce pollution, and provide habitat for wildlife. Urban forests also provide cool, shady spaces for recreation and improve mental health. Improve your wildlife identification skills while learning urban forestry and ecological restoration best practices. Students can earn community service hours while having fun outdoors. more |

We will be planting the future forest of North City Park and we want to see you there! Coming out to plant with us is one of the best ways to give back to your local forest and your neighbors.
