Shoreline Park Work PartyMay 11, 10am-12pm @ Shoreline Park Please join us in keeping the small forest of Shoreline Park beautiful. We're dreaming of a park free of invasive plants and filled with native plants. On this day, we'll be mulching a new zone (I call it "Bleeding Heart Haven") while preserving areas with native bleeding hearts and miner's lettuce. If time allows, we can also push into a new zone, clearing blackberry, cherry saplings and English ivy. more |

Join us! Weekly Sunday Work PartyMay 12, 9am-12pm @ Twin Ponds Park We pulled out a LOT of ivy directly west of the south pond and we have been rewarded with new blankets of Maianthemum dilatatum (false lily of the valley) that was apparently hiding beneath all that ivy. Along the creek, the willow stakes are leafing out. At the same time, we have multiple battle fields of herb Robert and bindweed all over West Twin Ponds. So, if you want to be part of our combative crew, join us! It’s very satisfying to pull out invasive plants. more |
