Richmond Beach Saltwater Park - Help Us Plant Native …12/02/2023

Activities

We'll be planting some trees and preparing planting areas for next year's tree planting! It's all about building the soil in the park. We’ll also show you our unique, inexpensive, and water-saving irrigation system – and how you can set it up in your own gardens to save water and keep your plants healthy. We’ll also point out any eagles and osprey that fly by!

Open to the public

All ages OK

12 out of 21 participants registered.

What to Bring

A water bottle, a snack if you want one, and tough clothes and shoes that can get dirty (because they will!), including long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to protect against prickly blackberry. Closed-toed shoes are required: work boots or hiking boots are best as we work on sloping ground. Running shoes are also fine, but we'll be working in a wetland area so water-proof shoes are best. Remember to check the weather and bring appropriate layers and rain gear or sun protection as needed.

Please meet in the lower parking lot by the rest rooms. Look for the table registration area.
