Richmond Beach Saltwater Park - Green Shoreline Day at …10/29/2022

Activities

Join us to celebrate Green Shoreline Day, our biggest planting celebration of the year! We will be planting trees at the park to restore its historic forested habitat. We’ll also be mulching to protect the plantings over the winter. You’ll get to learn about our unique, water-saving irrigation system – and how you can set it up in your own gardens to reduce water use while keeping your plants healthy during the hot summer months.

The park is located along the Puget Sound Shoreline. All are welcome to attend and no experience is necessary! Come and have fun while bringing native habitat back to the park. This is a highly sought-after event, so please make sure to sign up in advance to save your spot to plant with us.

We appreciate everyone who comes to help us restore nearshore habitat at the park!

Open to the public

All ages OK

What to Bring

Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt, dress in warm layers and bring a rain jacket and hat. Sturdy, closed-toed shoes are required: work boots or hiking boots are best as we work on sloping ground. Running shoes are also fine. Remember to check the weather.

We'll have tools and gloves for you to use (you are welcome to bring your own if you wish), as well as coffee, water, and a mid-morning snack. Help reduce waste by bringing your own refillable coffee mug/water bottle if you have one.
