Boeing Creek Park - Innagural Boeing Creek Restoration …06/18/2022

Activities

Announcing our inaugural work party to restore the riparian area at Boeing Creek park! Boeing Creek is a special piece of land in the heart of Shoreline, with old growth trees and beautiful hiking trails.

Help us protect this valuable resource! We plan to restore the area by removing unwanted plants such as blackberry, scott's broom, ivy, and more.

No experience is necessary; just an interest in having fun while protecting native habitat. We provide all of the tools and work gloves, but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish. We appreciate everyone who comes to help us restore nearshore habitat at the park. We look forward to spending a lovely morning together!

All ages OK

What to Bring

A water bottle, a snack if you want one, and tough clothes and shoes that can get dirty (because they will!), including long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to protect against prickly blackberry. Closed-toed shoes are required: work boots or hiking boots are best, but running shoes are also fine. Remember to check the weather and bring appropriate layers and rain gear or sun protection as needed.

Where to Meet

Meet at the 3rd Ave NW entrance (near NW 175th), beyond the large vehicle gate in the open, grassy field.

Where to Park

Park along 3rd Ave NW or along NW 175th.
