Shoreline Park - Shoreline Park Work Party03/07/2026

Activities

Come check out all the progress we've made at Shoreline Park! There is still plenty of work to do on this day, but there is hardly any Himalayan blackberry left! Most of the ivy and holly are gone, leaving the native salal and oregon grape and huckleberry to thrive. New plants are still small, but many are thriving.

We'll be finishing up blackberry and ivy removal near the playground and maybe re-mulching some older zones to prepare them for another dry summer.

All ages OK

0 out of 20 participants registered.

What to Bring

We'll have tools (loppers and shovels) and gloves available for use, but feel free to bring your own. Blackberry canes have significant thorns, so if you plan to do a lot of this work, you may want to invest in thick gloves. Also, don't forget a water bottle and a snack.

Where to Meet

We’ll be working on the west part of the park, but often meet by the tool box on the north end.

Where to Park

There is parking on the west side of the park, though there are sometimes soccer matches on Saturday mornings, so parking might be tight. There are plenty of residential streets off of 1st Ave to use as well.
