Activities

After planting on Green Shoreline Day, we might need to finish up planting on this day, or at least assess the progress. If all is finished, we'll continue working on our new zone near the soccer fields. This will mostly be pulling ivy and removing blackberry from a healthy stand of salal.

What to Bring

We'll have tools (loppers and shovels) and gloves available for use, but feel free to bring your own. Blackberry canes have significant thorns, so if you plan to do a lot of this work, you may want to invest in thick gloves. Also, don't forget a water bottle and a snack.

Where to Meet

We meet at the north end of the park. You'll see a mulch pile, tool box and wheel barrows nearby.

Where to Park

There is parking on the west side of the park, though there are sometimes soccer matches on Saturday mornings, so parking might be tight. There are plenty of residential streets off of 1st Ave to use as well.
