Activities

The South Woods Preservation Group welcomes your active participation. Twice a month volunteers gather to remove the non-native invasive vegetation - especially the Ivy, Himalayan Blackberries, and Holly. We maintain the ecosystem of our urban forest. Come, join the camaraderie and get involved. The restoration accomplished is appreciated by the entire community, especially those who hike the trails of South Woods.

What to Bring

Gloves, a digging fork, tarp, hand clippers, loppers, shovel, and drinking water.

Where to Meet

Sign-in at the information table. Look for signage that will lead you along the trail to the worksite.

Where to Park

Enter the Shorecrest High School parking lot at the South end, and park near the entrance gate to the Woods.
