Twin Ponds Park - Join us! Weekly Sunday …09/21/2025

Activities
The ground bees (i.e., yellow jackets) were quite active in August and as long as we have warm weather, we are expecting to see them through this month. So please be forewarned! The new blackberry and holly (started from seed) are easy to pull out and best removed at this stage. The bindweed is starting to wilt and we’ll try to get to some of the roots. Unfortunately, they are all over west Twin Ponds so any help you can give us would be much appreciated!

What to Bring
BYOG--bring your own gloves. A hat is highly recommended. If you have a favorite garden tool--trowel, clipper, etc.--bring that, too. (But we have tools to share.) If you dehydrate easily, please bring water since there is no potable water in this area of the park. Also, please be aware that the restrooms are about a 10 minute walk away.
Where to Meet
Near the (depleted) wood chip pile, south of the main Meridian entrance.
Meeting Location MapWhere to Park
Along Meridian, across the street from Evergreen School. Please do not park in the Twin Ponds Park parking lots along 1st NE since those are on the opposite side of the park.
