Activities

This summer we have a number of restoration work tasks which will keep the students busy and learning as they help with restoring the North City Park forest. Students will have the chance to help identify native plants within a new restoration site as well as remove invasive and bring in much to enrich the soil. We also have a number of trees that would benefit from ivy removal and digging survival rings. Finally, we will be liming some of the larger holly trees preparing them for treatment later this summer.

What to Bring

Suggest long pants and sturdy shoes. We have the tools needed for the day's tasks. Students can bring their own work gloves as well as water and snacks.
