Twin Ponds Park - Join us! Weekly Sunday …06/22/2025

Activities
Yikes—bindweed is all over the stakes we planted this spring! We HAD grubbed out lot of the bindweed roots previously but now it is obvious that there was even more than we took out. The recent sunny weather has made this awful invasive grow as if on steroids! The good news is that nearly all of our stakes are also showing growth. We do need to keep the bindweed away from them so come out and help us battle the bindweed!

What to Bring
BYOG--bring your own gloves. A hat is highly recommended. If you have a favorite garden tool--trowel, clipper, etc.--bring that, too. (But we have tools to share.) If you dehydrate easily, please bring water since there is no potable water in this area of the park. Also, please be aware that the restrooms are about a 10 minute walk away.
Where to Meet
Near the (depleted) wood chip pile, south of the main Meridian entrance.
Where to Park
Along Meridian, across the street from Evergreen School. Please do not park in the Twin Ponds Park parking lots along 1st NE since those are on the opposite side of the park.
