Twin Ponds Park - Join us! Weekly Sunday …04/27/2025

Activities

April showers bring April invasive weeds! We’ve had a fair amount of early spring rain and that combined with warming temperatures have encouraged Herb Robert, yellow archangel, nipplewort and other assorted non-native species. But the new stakes are holding up along with the previous plantings so it’s not all bad news. So join the regulars and relish how we are slowly turning this area of the park into a thriving, native plants-filled habitat!

What to Bring

BYOG--bring your own gloves. A hat is highly recommended. If you have a favorite garden tool--trowel, clipper, etc.--bring that, too. (But we have tools to share.) If you dehydrate easily, please bring water since there is no potable water in this area of the park. Also, please be aware that the restrooms are about a 10 minute walk away.

Where to Meet

Near the (depleted) wood chip pile, south of the main Meridian entrance.
