Shoreline Park - Shoreline Park Work Party01/11/2025

Activities

Please join us in keeping the small forest of Shoreline Park beautiful. On this day, I'm hoping to begin tackling the old ivy that bordered the former pool (probably the source of the ivy growing in the rest of the park). I spotted a Pacific madrone sapling growing out of the mess, and I'd love to save it and eventually surround it with other native plants.

All ages OK

4 out of 20 participants registered.

What to Bring

We'll have tools (loppers and shovels) and gloves available for use, but feel free to bring your own. Blackberry canes have significant thorns, so if you plan to do a lot of this work, you may want to invest in thick gloves. Also, don't forget a water bottle and a snack.

Where to Meet

We'll be at our usually spot at the north end of the park, just north of the paved trail. You'll see a large mulch pile and a tool box nearby. If you arrive a bit late, head to the south of the park between the forest and the tennis courts.

Where to Park

There is parking on the west side of the park, though there are sometimes soccer matches on Saturday mornings, so parking might be tight. There are plenty of residential streets off of 1st Ave to use as well.
